National Plum Day will be celebrated for the second time in 2019 as part of Pershore Plum Festival’s month-long festivities throughout August. Plums have become a forgotten fruit and it is hoped National Plum Day will start to make people rethink the perfection of plums. We will be at the Malvern Autumn Show again this year - the GOT stand will have a Gloucestershire apple display with tasting opportunity and juice for sale plus tree advice. And Jim Chapman will have his usual Hartpury Orchard Centre stand with a perry pear display (bettering the 97 varieties shown in 2018 - he is planning 108 for 2019 which is a world record!) At Fishponds Community Orchard, Thingwall Park Allotments, Fishponds, Bristol. Free admission. Apple pressing and juice. Apple tasting and print making.
